Job Title: Bites & Bubbles Mills Park Restaurant & Bar Sous Chef
Job Overview: Bites & Bubbles is seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef to help lead our culinary team. In this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining and elevating our restaurant's reputation for high-quality, innovative cuisine. This position requires a combination of creativity, leadership, and a deep passion for food and customer service. As a Sous Chef at Bites & Bubbles, you will be a key member of our culinary team, working closely with Chef Owner to maintain and elevate our dining experience. Your passion for food, attention to detail, and ability to lead and inspire a kitchen team will be essential in this role.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage Kitchen Staff: Oversee and organize kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure quality and restaurant standards. Work with the Chef Owner to manage kitchen staff and coordinate food orders.

Menu Execution: Execute Chef Owner’s menu and ensure that all dishes meet the Chef’s high standards of quality and innovation. Presentation of each plate as a work of art for our guests’ eyes and stomachs. Consistency in menu presentation throughout the evening and on a continual basis.

Staff Supervision and Training: Supervise kitchen staff, including line cooks and kitchen assistants. Train and mentor staff on culinary techniques and standards.

Quality Control: Ensure the quality of food and standards of plating. Monitor the freshness and quality of ingredients and prepared dishes.

Safety and Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and safe kitchen, ensuring compliance with sanitation, health, and safety standards in the workplace.

Inventory Management: Assist in inventory management and procurement of supplies. Ensure efficient use of ingredients and minimize waste.

Customer Satisfaction: Work towards enhancing customer satisfaction by ensuring consistency and culinary excellence.

Collaboration: Collaborate with restaurant management and the culinary team to refine dining experiences and improve operational efficiency.
Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Sous Chef or relevant role in a similar culinary environment.

Strong knowledge of cooking methods, kitchen equipment, and best practices.

Team leadership and excellent interpersonal skills.

Great attention to detail and creativity.

Culinary school diploma or equivalent experience.
-
Food Manager Certification.
Additional Requirements:

Flexibility to work during evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
